There are a lot of…well, let’s say ‘interesting’ reports floating around right now about President Donald Trump. By one of the most interesting/bizarre of all has come directly from Trump’s personal physician, Harold Bornstein, who continues to make all manner of disclosures to the press.
Speaking with the New York Times, Bornstein has revealed that Trump is currently using two medications that he had not previously disclosed. One for a skin problem known as rosacea and a second called finasteride – a prostate drug that Trump is that highly using for the purposes of hair loss prevention.
“President Trump takes medication for three ailments, including a prostate-related drug to promote hair growth, Mr. Trump’s longtime physician, Dr. Harold N. Bornstein, said in a series of recent interviews,” the NYT reports.
“The other drugs are antibiotics to control rosacea, a common skin problem, and a statin for elevated blood cholesterol and lipids,”
“Dr. Bornstein, who spoke by telephone in four interviews over the past month, also said that Mr. Trump takes a daily baby aspirin to reduce the risk of a heart attack. Over all, he pronounced Mr. Trump healthy and his medical care “as exactly up to date.””
In terms of relevance, some are now accusing Trump of purposefully hiding the use of the hair-loss drug from the public. Perhaps not the end of the world, but something that certainly goes against the way in which Trump in promising he would be the healthiest president ever made two separate medical disclosures that were supposed to detail any and all medication he was taking.
Not that trump has ever been particularly renowned for his personal disclosure habits, having still failed to release his tax returns as demanded by many of his most aggressive critics.
